I share these words with all of you at St. James. "To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did. When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence.....The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you." Peace be with you. A friend of my here at St Paul’s sent this to me last year at a very critical time in my life. I share these words with all of you at St. James.

These buildings are more than the physical components. They have a warmth that comes from the care taken by previous generations of worshipers as well as the reverance instilled by the architecture and crafsmanship. Please know that you and your ministries are in our prayers during this time in your parish life. " The psalm is a reminder that you are surrounded by God's presence, now, in your past, and in your future. There is so much pain and loss associated with the closing of your building; weddings, funerals and baptisms that were part of your history. Looking at Jesus journey this is where he found God in those struggles with us. Knowing the strength of so many of you, knowing your faith in God and your support for each other, I hope you find comfort in Him that this opportunity could deepen your faith, draw you closer, and will bring all of us closer to you. Know that we grieve with you and look to God for His guidance. We pray that you will hear and feel the Holy Spirit in your thoughts, prayers and actions.
